Dr. Shane Lu grew up right outside of Atlanta, GA. After shadowing his childhood dentist growing up, Dr. Lu knew that he wanted pursue dentistry to help others achieve healthy and beautiful smiles. He believes in establishing lasting patient relationships and providing high quality and comfortable dental care for his patients. Dr. Lu takes pride in keeping updated on the latest dental research, technology, and techniques in order to deliver excellent clinical care. In 2019, Dr. Lu received the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction held by only 6% of general dentists in the U.S. He believes in educating his patients on how to maintain a healthy smile. He is involved in many community volunteer events across the state of North Carolina including Missions of Mercy, and the Ada Jenkins Center. In his free time, Dr. Lu enjoys spending time with his wife Vaneska and their 3 adorable Corgis (Dax, Mochi, and Biscuit), traveling, reading, and cheering on his hometown Atlanta sports teams.

Dentist Lexington, NC Taylor is our Dental Assistant. She enjoys working as a team to help achieve healthy smiles. Taylor graduated from Piedmont Dental Assistants, Inc. in 2018. Giving the best possible care is important to her as well as making each patient feel comfortable during treatment. She enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family, and baking.

Heather joined Lexington Dental Care in August of 2021. She is our Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her Dental Assistant Certification from Rowan Cabarrus Community College in 2007. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Forsyth Technical Community College in 2021. She also received the faculty award, chosen by the faculty and then Best Team Member award, chosen by her classmates. She is certified in CPR, S.P.I.C.E., Dental Radiology, and OSHA. Heather lives in Salisbury, North Carolina. She married her husband Cory in 2017 and they have two children: Jackson and Cameron. When she is not on a baseball field with Jackson or a karate tournament with Cameron, you can find her family somewhere on a beach in Florida. Some of her hobbies include: decorating, crafting, shopping and going on vacations.

Dentist Lexington, NC Kelly is our front desk office administrator. She has more than 12 years of dental office experience. She enjoys getting to know each of our patients and working in a team environment. Kelly has a Bachelor's Degree from High Point University and an Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting from DCCC. She is married and has two sons and an adorable Goldendoodle (Lucky). She enjoys attending her sons' sporting events and swim meets, visiting state parks, and attending Kettlebells class.

Sue is our Sterilization Tech. She is a retired dental assistant of 30+ years. Sue received her certification from Wake Forest/Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She has always enjoyed getting to meet and know patients. She loves hanging out with family and friends (especially her granddaughter), cooking, gardening, and playing with Chance (Dachschund) and new pal, Dax (Corgi).
